The wrong technology partner costs you years, not months.
combined partner delivery history
processed annually by partner-built systems
dedicated engineers across two continents
projects shipped by our founding team
You already know something has to change.
The question is not whether to modernize, automate, or build. The question is who you trust to do it without wrecking what already works.
The rewrite that never shipped
You engaged a firm to rebuild the core platform. Eighteen months later, the legacy system is still in production and the replacement is perpetually “almost done.” Your team now maintains two systems and fully trusts neither.
The AI pilot that went nowhere
A consultant delivered a proof of concept. It performed well on demo data, but nobody could integrate it into the real workflow. The deck sits in a shared drive, and the process it was meant to automate is still manual.
The vendor you cannot fire
An external team writes code that no one on your side understands well enough to change direction. You pay every month to maintain a system you neither fully own nor control.
The expensive mistake is not building the wrong thing. It is building with the wrong team. When you choose a technology partner, you are not buying hours — you are buying the judgment to say this will break before it breaks.
Three ways we make your technology a competitive advantage.
Each engagement starts with understanding what you actually need — not what is easiest to sell. We have walked away from projects where we were not the right fit. The clients who stay tend to stay for years.
Tech Modernization
Legacy modernization is fundamentally a risk-management challenge. Teams are hesitant to modify tightly coupled systems because the blast radius of a breaking change is unknown.
So we treat it as risk management, not heroics. Our modernization work runs on a proven, repeatable framework and an internal testing toolkit — a systematic engineering process backed by automation, not a black box you have to take on faith. We map the codebase, identify the highest-risk files, and generate a comprehensive regression-test safety net before a single line is migrated, then hand your CFO and CTO a costed, prioritized roadmap they can both read. You move from “afraid to touch it” to replacing it with confidence — file by file, with the blast radius measured in advance.
- Decomposed a payments monolith into event-driven microservices — peak throughput up 3x, with a zero-downtime cutover
- Migrated a core transactional database at 99.85% accuracy across 346,000+ records
- Generated 2,700+ end-to-end regression tests across 590+ endpoints before migration began
Map the codebase and surface the highest-risk files — the ones with the most churn and coupling that drive the majority of production failures.
Generate an end-to-end regression-test safety net around the code about to change, calibrated against your live services, before any migration starts.
Migrate file by file with dependency-aware sequencing and a costed, CFO-ready ROI model behind every recommendation.
AI Automation
We focus on pragmatic, measurable AI integration — not demos. The goal is fewer manual steps and fewer errors in a workflow you can put a number on.
We start with the workflow costing you the most time or the most errors, then automate it with human-in-the-loop checkpoints so your team stays in control of every consequential decision. Everything plugs into your existing systems and respects your compliance and data-governance requirements — secure by default and auditable by design. We instrument the before-and-after so the impact is measurable, and if AI is not the right answer for a given workflow, we will tell you that plainly.
- Autonomous test agents reaching a 96% first-run pass rate against live microservices
- Replaced manual reconciliation and provider-onboarding workflows — configuration cut from weeks to days
- AI-assisted support and engineering automation across a platform serving thousands of organizations
Custom Development
You need something built that does not exist yet — and it has to hold up in production.
A transaction platform that processes billions. A marketplace that scales from launch to its first ten thousand users. An internal tool that retires the brittle manual processes your team has outgrown. Our founding team has built all of these. Our engineers embed with yours, write production-grade code from day one, and transfer knowledge continuously — so you never become dependent on us.
- Grew a peer-to-peer marketplace from a six-figure side product to $13M in annual booking revenue in two years
- Delivered an instant bank-transfer platform with a 20-engineer pod at 80%+ test coverage
- Shipped multi-tenant SaaS handling billions in payments across 10+ countries
Our core team has already built the systems you are trying to build.
We are not consultants who just read about your industry. Through our established engineering engine, our leadership has architected payment gateways, fintech platforms, and marketplaces — under load, with real money flowing through them. Client names are withheld; references from our joint-venture partners are available on request.
A payments monolith re-architected to survive peak-event load
Challenge — A Java monolith on legacy DB2 could not absorb peak-demand events without risking downtime during the highest-value transaction windows — and the licensing bill kept climbing.
Build — We decomposed the monolith into event-driven microservices on Kubernetes and migrated DB2 to PostgreSQL using parallel-run validation and a blue-green cutover, so nothing moved until the numbers matched.
From a six-figure side product to the #1 marketplace of its kind in its region
Challenge — Rebuild a peer-to-peer rental marketplace from the ground up — multi-stage payment capture, automated host payouts, fraud prevention, and multi-parameter search that holds up as volume explodes.
Build — We shipped a microservices platform on .NET and React with automated staged payments and payouts, search-and-ranking at scale, auto-scaling for transaction spikes, and fraud controls baked in from day one.
An instant bank-transfer product rebuilt for high-profile merchants
Challenge — Modernize an instant bank-transfer product and merchant portal for high-profile, heavily regulated merchants — with no tolerance for downtime, regressions, or compliance gaps.
Build — A dedicated 20-engineer pod rebuilt the product on Java Spring, RabbitMQ, and React microservices, holding 80%+ unit-test coverage throughout while migrating legacy products onto the new infrastructure.
From a single-product tool to a multi-channel enterprise platform
Challenge — A single-plan, direct-only platform was locked out of the broker distribution channel and the enterprise multi-tier segment, while paper-heavy claims dragged down utilization and renewals.
Build — We built a partner portal with hierarchical permissions and an automated commission and EFT engine, re-architected the data model to support unlimited benefit tiers with temporal history, and shipped a three-tap mobile claims app.
Enterprise security hardening at multi-tenant scale — with zero downtime
Challenge — A multi-tenant platform serving 4,300+ dealerships and the world’s largest automakers needed comprehensive security hardening across 35+ microservices — without a second of downtime for mission-critical operations.
Build — We remediated 200+ critical and high-severity vulnerabilities, modernized core frameworks (.NET, Node.js, PHP/Symfony), hardened the container infrastructure, and migrated APIs from SQL Server to managed PostgreSQL.
From a single-brand store to a multi-vendor artist marketplace
Challenge — An ethical, artist-driven fashion label had outgrown its single-store e-commerce site and wanted to become a true marketplace — where independent artists open their own shops, with commission math that depends on who sells what and where, plus asset management for thousands of designs.
Build — We extended the storefront into a multi-vendor marketplace with new microservices on .NET and React, built a custom Elasticsearch product-search layer when off-the-shelf search hit its limits, added a digital-asset-management system for artists, and implemented a sophisticated commission-calculation engine.
A white-label recognition & benefits app trusted by global enterprises
Challenge — An employee-experience platform needed to deliver recognition and complex compensation-and-benefits workflows as a fully white-label app — preserving complete privacy for each enterprise client and their employees, at organizational scale.
Build — We shipped MVP features with rapid iteration, designed a flexible microservice architecture for large and complex org structures, integrated AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, SES) and SMS notifications, and published the app white-label under each client’s own store identity with strict access control.
A legacy operations app overhauled into a real-time safety tool
Challenge — A railway-safety platform delivering real-time data to operators in the field needed its aging navigation app completely overhauled — adding cutting-edge safety features and GPS while keeping the interface simple enough to use safely on the job.
Build — We redesigned the home screen for instant status visibility, implemented state-of-the-art GPS tracking with built-in safety measures, upgraded the trip-planning and routing algorithm, added a data-collection analytics mode, and integrated real-time processing into a clean React Native interface.
Three mission-critical systems for a global non-profit
Challenge — A global anti-poverty non-profit needed technology that streamlined data management, supported bilingual users, integrated with existing workflows, and held strict security over sensitive donor and beneficiary data — usable by field workers and administrators alike.
Build — Over a multi-year partnership we delivered three systems: a Monitoring & Evaluation platform with interactive dashboards, a Sponsorship Management system with secure online payments and goal-driven fundraising, and a business-process-automation platform digitizing procurement, recruitment, and approvals with role-based access and audit trails.
Offline-first school-readiness assessment, deployed nationwide
Challenge — An early-childhood-education initiative needed a school-readiness assessment system that integrated with existing educational frameworks, served educators, parents, and administrators, and kept working for field workers in remote areas with limited or no connectivity — without losing data integrity.
Build — We built customizable assessment forms with detailed reporting and tailored recommendations, community tools connecting educators and parents, and a Progressive Web App for full offline use — on a microservice architecture designed to scale to a national, phased rollout.
Born from a project that actually worked.
KaloStack did not start as a pitch. It started as a problem. An enterprise Director of Engineering needed to modernize a mission-critical platform — the kind of system where downtime is measured in lost revenue — and brought in an established global engineering agency to do it.
The delivery worked. Not “demo worked” — production worked, under load, with the blast radius controlled and the timeline honored. It went well enough that the client and the agency decided to stop being client and vendor, and start being partners.
KaloStack is that partnership: the enterprise judgment that knew what “done right” looks like, joined to the delivery engine that shipped it — now brought to the broader market.
The best time to find the right partner is before you need one urgently.
Tell us what you are building, modernizing, or automating. We will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit — and what it would take. No pitch deck. No pressure.
